Privacy policy
Applies to the Tepovka app for iPhone from version 3.3. Updated October 2026.
Tepovka collects no personal data. Everything it measures stays on your phone. The app has no account, no analytics and no ads, and sends nothing to our servers or anyone else's.
What the app uses and why
- Camera and flash: your heart rate is computed from the colour of your fingertip on the lens. Frames are processed on the phone straight away and are not stored.
- Motion sensor: while you measure, the app checks whether the phone moves, so it can tell you and measure longer if needed. Motion data are stored only as part of a reading.
- Health (HealthKit): only if you allow it, the app writes your heart rate to Health after a reading, and heart rate variability (HRV) for longer readings with a good signal. It does not send Health data anywhere.
- Notifications: only if you turn on a reminder, your phone shows a local notification at the time you set. Nothing is sent.
- Voice guidance: in senior mode, instructions are read by the phone's own system voice.
Where your readings are
Your history, tags, notes and settings are stored only on your phone, in the app's storage. The home screen widget reads the latest reading from storage shared with the same app on the phone. Deleting the app deletes the data. You can delete single readings in the history.
Export and sharing
A PDF report or an export to CSV, JSON or TXT is created only when you ask for it and handed to the system share sheet. You decide who receives the file.
Children
The app collects no data about anyone, children included.
